法国通俗乐团，世界著名三大轻音乐团之一，由保罗.默里埃创建.

六十年代后期，法国的音乐舞台在悄悄地进行一场革命。保罗.默里埃乐团以一曲《蓝色的爱情》征服了世界。此后的30年中，乐团的唱片销量3000万张，演奏的乐曲被录制过1000次，进行了30多次世界巡回演出，享有极高的声誉，从此成为世界明星。

保罗.默里埃于1998年告别舞台，但是他的乐队仍是派往各国的音乐使节。乐队演奏莫里亚独特风格的音乐，以及他创作或改编的最受欢迎和流行的乐曲。他成功地找到了一条能巧妙地将古典音乐与流行音乐相连接的途径，形成了他那将优美的旋律、生动的节奏和明朗的气氛结合起来的独特风格。

该乐团不断探求新的音响并尽量发挥录音制作的最大作用。如将传统的小提琴从左声道输出方法改为从右声道输出，造成气氛宽广的效果。总体来讲，该团演奏的音乐具有温文尔雅、清新质朴、节奏明朗、线条优美等特点，是一种典型的“怡情音乐”。从70年代到现在，保罗.默里埃轻音乐团录制了近百张唱片，风靡全世界，如《法国通俗音乐》，其中就包括了《蓝色的爱情》、《夜的旋律》等曲子，《俄罗斯情意》包括了《喀秋莎》、《红披肩》和《伏尔加船夫曲》等，还有《爱琴海的珍珠》、《拉丁集》、《华丽的肖邦世界》、《电影音乐的诱惑》和《披头士的世界》等唱片专辑。
